Searching for directions to Yoshiwara can bring up several stations and walking times. Chocolat offers a free transfer from JR Ueno Station or Minowa Station on the Hibiya Line. This article summarises the address, what to check before travelling by train or car, and points that can confuse first-time visitors.

Information checked: 1 September 2026.

Check both the address and the instructions given when reserving

Chocolat is at 4-42-3 Senzoku, Taito-ku, Tokyo. Use this address to locate the establishment on a map. For a transfer, check the meeting point given with your reservation.

For current address, map and transfer-station information, see Chocolat's official access guide (Japanese).

Which station should you use?

The stations officially listed for Chocolat's free transfer are JR Ueno Station on the Yamanote Line and Minowa Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line.

  • Ueno: near the Iriya Exit and highway bus stop. The precise meeting point is explained when reserving.
  • Minowa: near Exit 1a. Confirm the transfer arrangements before arriving.

If you would like a free transfer, tell staff which station you prefer when reserving. Confirm the current meeting point, time and how to identify the vehicle.

If walking, do not rely only on a search-result journey time

Walking time varies with the station, exit and route. This article therefore does not give one fixed walking time. Check the route to the establishment's address on a map and allow enough time.

If this is your first visit to Yoshiwara or you are concerned about getting lost, check the transfer from Ueno or Minowa when reserving.

Arriving by car

Chocolat has a dedicated free car park. Spaces are limited, so mention your request when reserving. Nearby parking fees and availability vary and are not fixed in this article.

Points first-time visitors can find confusing

  1. Use the actual address on the map. Check 4-42-3 Senzoku, Taito-ku, Tokyo, rather than only the label “Yoshiwara”.
  2. Check the station and exit specified. Ueno and Minowa have different meeting points.
  3. Confirm the transfer location, time and vehicle. Prioritise the latest instructions given when reserving over older articles or posts.

Final checks before travelling

Check the address, station, exit, meeting point and time. If you get lost, consult the official guidance rather than continuing to move on your own assumptions.

Enquire about transfers, parking and reservations (Japanese).
